Day 129

11/17/10
"Travel Reading"

Another interesting perspective, this time of some travel guides in the College Library.

Day 129

11/16/10
"Badgers take Flight"

I took this photo at the UW Mens Basketball game versus North Dakota. I noticed there that I seemed to have a better concept of photography than some of the folks with press passes, though some had more expensive lenses. I really enjoyed photographing the game and I might try to find a way to do this more often.

Day 128

11/15/10
"Fall Winds Down"

This photo was taken after a light snow the night before. It was a great day out and the sky was wonderful and made for a great HDR shot that played off the color of the building in the foreground.

Day 127

11/14/10
"The First Heavy Snow"

This photo was taken from the balcony of the Chapel near my apartment. It was great to see the snow, though I know I might hate it soon.

Day 126

11/13/10
"Reverse Fisheye"

I thought this was a cool way to get a picture in some kind of fisheye effect, but with a reverse image and no lens. Taken outside of the Chapel near my apartment.

Day 125

11/12/10
"Keys at Night"

A quick photo of my Macbook Pro's keyboard lit up at night.

Day 124

11/11/10
"Rail Jam"

Tonight I had two big events to attend. First, the culmination of months of work, as the Reel Rock Film tour came to the Memorial Union at the University of Wisconsin - Madison thanks to work from the Wisconsin Union Directorate, the WUD Film committee, my friend Todd Olson, and some work by myself. But beforehand, the annual Hoofer Ski and Snowboard/Wisconsin Union Rail Jam on the Union Terrace. A large volume of snow was shipped in and area snowboarders and skiiers pulled out all their tricks (within reason) to wow the crowd and the judges.

Day 123

11/10/10
"Ties"

A quick look at some of the ties I own laid out while I chose an outfit for an interview coming up.

Day 122

11/9/10
"Change we Can all Believe In"

A nice perspective shot of all the change in my change jar.

Day 121

11/8/10
"Imposter"

Full disclosure, this photo is from 11/11, when I realized I forgot a picture for the first time in the project.

Sunday, November 7, 2010

Day 120

11/7/10
"Fall on State Street"

I love the colors of fall.

Saturday, November 6, 2010

Day 119

11/6/10
"Sunset Over the Kohl Center Lawn (HDR)"

One of my favorite HDR shots so far. Taken as the sun went down near the home of Badgers Basketball and Hockey, the Kohl Center.

Friday, November 5, 2010

Day 118

11/5/10
"Bridge"

An interesting perspective on my first guitar.

Thursday, November 4, 2010

Day 117

11/4/10
"View from my Window (HDR)"

Not much to say. Another day where I looked for an interesting view without leaving my room. Not creative, but decently beautiful, in my opinion.

Wednesday, November 3, 2010

Day 116

11/3/10
"Ornamental"

After an hour and wandering around and shooting, I found that there there was nothing more striking than this Jaguar hood ornament. I'm sure thats what they were going for, weren't they?

Day 115

11/2/10
"Election Day"

Today was a turning point for a lot of the country's public institutions. After winning a large majority in the House and Senate, as well as the Presidency two years ago, the Democrats faltered somewhat. I spent a long day voting and then following the results as they came in from around the country. The result was a small majority in the Senate and a minority in the House. Additionally, one of the greatest Senators of our time, Russ Feingold, was defeated by a relative nobody, and the state of Wisconsin turned heavily "Red".

Full disclosure. I am posting this on the night of January 25th, right before the State of the Union address by President Barack H. Obama. It will be interesting to hear his plans for the future, given the rough state of the economy. After his excerpts were released earlier, new Speaker of the House, Sen. John Boehner (R) said that his plans as of now aren't going to be enough. Time will tell.

Day 114

11/1/10
"Logos"

Not a lot of time today, so just a quick picture of my computer decked out in my favorite companies' logos.
